Read on to find out all about
What is the Rapidor?
If you’ve read our high speed doors guide, you’ll have a fairly good idea of what a Rapidor is. High speed door is also known as a rapid roll doors. With this in mind, we (cleverly!) came up with Rapidor. Our Rapidor can swiftly open at speeds of 1-2 metres per second and then automatically close – allowing you to:
- Maintain a smooth flow of traffic
- Reduce delays
- Control internal temperatures
- Improve security
- Reduce your energy usage
- Save money!
The impressive speeds of our Rapidor are thanks to their light and specially crafted 3mm PVC curtain, which features a window for better visibility and transparency between different parts of the building.
Rapidor is also long-lasting and easy to maintain, allowing it to endure the strain of numerous daily opening and closing cycles. Due to all these benefits, Rapidor serves as the perfect internal door for commercial and industrial use, facilitating easy movement within the building, maintaining the temperature of controlled environments, and keeping pests and dust away. This makes Rapidor particularly suited for indoor applications in food processing units and laboratories, where cleanliness, controlled temperatures, and restricted access are crucial. However, with its built-in wind bars, Rapidor can also be suitable for outdoor usage too.
Whilst our Rapidor brochure goes into detail about its complete specs, but in a nutshell, here’s what you can expect from our unique high speed rolling door:

Why choose Rapidor?
The advantages of a high speed door (or Rapidor in this case) in an industrial or commercial unit are numerous. They can work wonders in reducing pollution, operational costs and much more. Here are just some of the many reasons to consider a Rapidor for your business.
1. Made in the UK
As our Rapidor is made in the UK, you know you’ll get your high speed door in a timely manner. Plus, we’ll expertly install your Rapidor and provide regular maintenance and service (or as required).
2. They’re bespoke
We don’t believe in bulk building high speed doors. That’s why our Rapidors (and all of our other products for that matter) are custom-built to your specifications. We can also print a custom logo on your Rapidor for that bit of extra branding too.
3. Enjoy a full-width, large vision panel
Maintain visibility and allow natural light in with our Rapidor. You can see who’s at your high speed door and allow natural light in to help with light quality in the workplace. Plus, with the latter, you can help keep lighting and electric costs low too!
4. Reduced operational costs
With a fast-acting roller door, you can enjoy efficient energy usage, meaning your commercial costs will vastly improve once you implement a Rapidor. Plus, with how fast-acting our Rapidor is, you can reduce heat loss and draughts.
5. Easy to operate
With our easy-to-use TS971 intelligent digital control panel, you can open and close your Rapidor with ease.
6. Reduces contaminants
Noise and air pollution can cause health and safety issues in the workplace. With a Rapidor, you can feel assured our fast-acting roller door shuts off rooms quickly to ensure sound and contaminants are contained elsewhere.
Rapidor vs High Speed Insulated Roller Shutter
The difference between our high speed doors vs high speed insulated roller shutter, is that a high speed door is for places where people and goods move frequently, like warehouses and loading bays. They’re fast-acting and tough – especially as they need to be used multiple times a day. Whilst high speed insulated roller shutters do the same thing, they provide an additional layer of safety in environments where temperature must be kept at a certain rate. That’s why they work well in food processing units to stop heat from escaping.
