BIG CHANGES IN FIRE SHUTTER TESTING AND CERTIFICATION.
From the 1st November 2019, BS EN 16034:2014 replaced BS 476 Part 22.
This means existing fire shutters that were tested to BS 476 part 22 are no longer certified as fire shutters. All fire shutters must now be tested to BS EN 16034:2014 and this can only be done by a notified body. ALL FIRE SHUTTERS, AS OF
1st NOVEMBER 2019 MUST BE CE MARKED TO BS EN 16034:2014.
In addition to testing to BS EN 16034:2014 additional
documentation and labelling must be provided by the manufacturer.
When you receive your fire shutter it must be accompanied with a Declaration of Performance (DoP) and the fire shutter will be
CE marked to Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 - Construction products. The CE label will also include the notified body certification
identification number.
SSS Industrial Doors 'Flame Armour' fire shutters have been successfully tested by Warringtonfire and Certification Ltd to
BS EN 16034:2014 with an extended application to BS EN 15269-10.
