Flame Armour Fire Shutters For Ellard’s Training Room (BS EN 16034:2014)

SSS Industrial Door Ltd manufactured, supplied Flame Armour Fire Shutters (E60, E120 & E240). These shutters were manufactured and supplied to one of our main suppliers, Ellard. We purchase motors, safety brakes and control panels from Ellard and use their products within our roller shutters. These fire shutters were manufactured to the new industry standard BS EN 16034:2014 (harmonised standard 2019). The main purpose of theses shutters is for Ellard to provide training on how to install and wire a Fire Shutter which has been manufactured to the new standard. The new standard has radically altered the way we manufacture fire shutters in comparison to the old standard BS EN 476 part 22, which can no longer be CE Marked as of 01.11.19. Using our EXAP report which was supplied by WarringtonFire, upon achieving certification, and referring directly to the BS EN 16034 & BS EN 15269-10 legislation and regulation guidance. We can CE Mark fire shutters to the following ratings; 60 minutes fire resistant integrity, 120 minutes fire resistant integrity & 240 minutes fire resistant integrity.

The new standard does not allow the fixing of a fire shutter to a flexible structure (timber or drywall), unless tested separately. SSS Industrial Doors Ltd have tested an additional fire shutter to a flexible structure on the 7th July 2020, which surpassed 90 minutes integrity rating.
