Prior to enquiry, please state that you intended to purchase our products for exporting purposes and state your country of origin. VAT is not applicable on products which are exported to other countries, however evidence of the goods being received by the buyer in another country must be proven by the seller. Therefore, a copy of the customs entry must be obtained as this states the shipping arrangement and when accompanied with the C88 or S8 form is proof of exportation.

Brexit and CE Marking
SSS Industrial Doors is one of the first companies in the UK to be granted accreditation for exporting products that require CE marking. We have an experienced sales team who have each completed the Foundation Award in International Trade. This requires each applicant to complete six modules, and is overseen and taught by The British Chamber of Commerce.
Our sales team understands the documentation which must accompany any products that need to go through customs declaration. This includes applying for certificates of origin, creating the packaging list, and handling commercial invoices.
Having knowledge of the latest Incoterms (2020), our sales team is able to assist you with every aspect of the exportation procedure, including arranging the Terms of Sale which best suit your requirements. We have previously supplied our roller shutter products to destinations such as Ireland, Isle of Man, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.

Selling in the EU
For products sold in the EU or European Economic Area (EEA), they will need CE marking until 1st January 2022. However, UKCA marking must be applied to goods sold in Great Britain immediately.

FAQ
If one of our trade customers would like to export one of our products then they need to discuss this directly with a member of our sales team. As we are the manufacturer we are able to obtain a Certificate of Origin for our products. The majority of the critical information is present on our product drawings, such as the products weight, commodity code (tariff code) and dimensions of the product.
All of our products are CE marked accordingly. This includes specialised products such as fire-resistant roller shutters, which are also UKCA marked. Therefore we can export our products to all European Member states (EU27), Ireland and Switzerland. We can also export our products to countries which accept the CE conformity mark standard, such as Middle-Eastern countries like Qatar.
